A sunny seaside cottage filled with light and Victorian charm: perfect for honeymooners, the artistically inspired and bon-viveurs. A few minutes walk to the beach, a coastal stroll to Penzance, a short drive or cycle to St Ives and Land's End. The Grade II-listed one-storey cottage has large sash windows facing south over the sea: a stunning view. Settle by the wood-burner and watch the rising tide turn St Michael's Mount into an island. The cream-toned living room is bright with a large gilt mirror and gold cushions, a sisal rug covers original painted floorboards, flowers are fresh. Wander through to a fully-equipped fitted kitchen lined with wood panelling; dine at a small, winged wooden table. Pull back the bedroom curtains to gaze out to ever-changing nautical views from a king-sized bed; original watercolours, by the owner's Royal Academician grandfather, are a treat. There's a double-ended spa bath to bubble away the sand, tea and homemade cake on arrival provided by the lovely, semi-retired owners (she a teacher, he an engineer). The beach is close and restaurants, pubs (with gardens to lounge in) and shops are a lazy five-minute stroll.
