Tim is a third-generation farmer; Sally a whirlwind of smiling capability (home-baked bread or cakes often appear). The converted outbuilding cottages are designed for comfort and practicality; cosy living areas with wood-burning stoves (free logs) and jauntily coloured pine furnishings; well-designed kitchens for feeding hungry mouths; simple country-fresh bedrooms and spotless bathrooms. In the two-storey cottages, one bedroom has a balcony. All have French doors to private terraces for outdoor eating and summery snoozing; all have surround-sound views of sea, garden and fields. You will have a daily dilemma of what to do: Eden Project or Heligan Gardens, beaches or rockpooling, coastal walks or Mevagissey's galleries? Raining? Relax in the indoor pool and sauna. Wrapped in peace, this is a fresh-air Cornish getaway.
