Set off on the coastal path for Prussia Cove, once the haunt of smugglers. Return to your private courtyard garden. There’s also a communal outdoor shower – excellent for dogs and wetsuits. With towels, blankets and Cornish treats, dogs will be happy here.
This one-storey stone outbuilding is the first of three on an 18th-century farm, surrounded by Mediterranean gardens. The floor-to-ceiling windows create light and space, while the tiny kitchen makes use of each nook and cranny. It's warm and stylish in a mid-century way – and also has a great wet room.
Body boards are here to borrow so head for the beaches of Perranuthnoe and Praa Sands. There’s a much-loved fish and chip shop a mile way, and excellent restaurants in Porthleven. Try award-winning Kota and Kota Kai, or the legendary Rick Stein.
