Abbey Home Farm: The Cart Shed - Self-catering cottage in Gloucestershire
Burford Road, Cirencester, GL7 5FB, Gloucestershire

Reino Unido
It's romantic for two or a great retreat for one, with long walks in nature for inspiration. You're on 1600 acres of mixed farming land and woodlands, along with an organic farm shop selling home grown and reared produce and ready-to-pop-in-the-oven meals if you don't yearn to cook. A lovely walk along the old railway line will bring you to the farm café, open until 4pm.
Inside feels light and airy thanks to a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, very cosy with the wood-burner and air source heat pump, plenty of books to read and comfy places to hunker down if it's raining - even fresh, cheery flowers. Doors open straight onto a south west facing terrace for summer suppers cooked on the fire pit grill and long evenings waiting for the stars to come out.
Join bio-diversity walks, learn to weave willow, birdwatch, say hello to friendly pigs - the ethos here is good and wholesome. Or, batten down the hatches and do your own thing.

- Don't want to go far? There are 1,600 acres of organic farm and woodland right here to explore. When you're hungry/need a bit more action our farm shop is full of food from the farm. Delish cafe and much loved Sunday Roasts. Easy not to leave the farm!
- Discover this beautiful corner of the country by eBike. Cotswold eBikes are based here on the farm and can deliver to the Cart Shed door. There is no lovelier (and more eco friendly!) way to get around.
- Ten acres of lush grounds with dozens of sculptures amongst mixed deciduous and conifer woodland with ponds, gardens and glades. Cotswold Sculpture Park is an international place for contemporary art. Lovely tearoom. An absolute joy to visit.
- Head to one of the many wonderful local pubs. The Stump, Bathurst Arms and Village Pub can all be walked to from the door. Beautiful scenic routes with delicious food and cold pints at the end.
- Enjoy a course/workshop/tours here...cookery, willow weaving, biodiversity or veg garden walks. Bespoke tours can be tailored too.
- The farm has been in the family for 500 years. Interested in archaeology? Will has a small private museum full to bursting with all sorts of artefacts dating right back to neolithic times. Do ask us if you'd like to visit.
