Perhaps it’s the gentle, unstuffy attitude of Kate and Edward. Or the great position of the house with its glorious views across the Golden Valley. Whichever, you’ll feel comforted and invigorated by your stay in this family home. Kate is a keen gardener, swathes of white tulips flourish under trees heavy with white blossom and she is happy to show you round her cutting garden.

You feel nicely cocooned in the guest wing: a pretty bedroom above your own comfortable, book-filled sitting room opening to a flowery courtyard.  Sleep soundly on the softest of pillows, wake to deep countryside peace and a delicious breakfast. Kate brings in a tray piled high with different jars of cereals, a bowl of fruit, sometimes compote, yogurt, tasty bacon, home apple juice and eggs from the hens.

There's a profusion of inspiring gardens to visit; you can join the  Cotswold Trail from the door or borrow bikes; and the village pub does great food.

"Staying at Well Farm is a real treat! Kate is a charming and generous hostess who cooks delicious breakfasts with eggs from her own hens and juice from her orchard. The accommodation is deluxe and spacious with a comfortable sitting room filled with interesting books and magazines and very pretty and well equipped bedroom and en suite bathroom. Everything has been thought of. Well Farm is conveniently located with wonderful walks, good shopping and two excellent pubs nearby. It is a delightful place to stay, we felt very priviledged, and we hope to return."

It was wonderful to have our own private sitting room included, and two good pubs with great food nearby (we'd particularly recommend the Bell in Sapperton). "Tranquil setting close to many great Cotswolds walks. Kate and Edward were fantastically hospitable and accommodating. We enjoyed peace and tranquility and the comforts of home with a lovely big bedroom and bathroom and a comfortable sitting room with all we could wish for. Kate was extremely welcoming and kind and arranged supper for us at The Crown which was 2 minutes away and just what we wanted after walking all afternoon in Cider With Rosie country. Comfortable bed, beautifully laundered linen and stunning gardens. We have returned home eager to implement the ideas we picked up from Kate's inspirational garden."
