You've a small pitch-ceilinged sitting area with Velux window, modern L-shaped sofa, faux fur throw; radio and magazines to relax with. From the spotless, smartly-fitted kitchen you can practically see into birds' nests, and watch deer forage below. The gable-end, queen-sized bedroom is cool and calm, decorated in blues and white – a wooden chest under the eaves has fluffy socks so you can go shoe-free on the tiles. The pristine bathroom is a good size with slatted wood 'mat', nice towels and robes. Don't come laden as space is limited. You can walk down the road just outside to the village pub; local take-aways are good. Golf on the doorstep, Knebworth nearby, Cambridge is less than an hour.
