Tessa and Lev’s love for their delightful holiday cottage is obvious throughout – from the well-tended terrace to the claw-foot bath thoughtfully placed so you can gaze at the sea and sky while you soak. The homely sitting room is stocked with books, films and board games; a wood-burner sits within the exposed-brick fireplace – logs are on the house. An Aga (electric), Belfast sink and wooden table create a relaxed farmhouse feel in the kitchen, while there’s a barbecue for al fresco dining on sunny days. Upstairs, light-filled bedrooms have comfy mattresses and colourful prints on the walls. It’s a mile’s stroll to Ventnor Botanic Gardens or to beautiful, secluded Steephill Cove.
