A rare privacy: you have your own charming little cottage, separated from the Notts’ home by a stylish terracotta-potted courtyard with Indian sandstone paving and various fruit trees (plum and pear). Breakfast in your own sunny kitchen or out in the garden.
The lovely big attic bedroom has its own sitting area, original wooden beams and rugs on polished wood floors. The brick-walled ground-floor twin is pleasant and airy; both look over the peaceful garden and each have their own bathrooms. Urban but bucolic – just perfect as a romantic retreat, or a family getaway.
You can walk to shops in five minutes or to Balham tube station and a quick zip to central London (20 minutes) for all the museums, galleries, theatres and culture. The street is quiet and residential so you shouldn't hear much traffic.
