Banes Cottage - Self-catering in Norfolk
Hindringham Hall, Hindringham, NR21 OQA, Norfolk
England,
Reino Unido
A Tudor manor house complete with a moat and a brick and flint cottage which once belonged to Banes, the gardener. You’re free to roam the gardens on open days in spring and summer; guided tours of the house take place occasionally during the year.
It's cosy inside with a real coal fire, plenty of games, books and DVDs; store your boots, bikes and muddy dog towels in the scullery to the side. You’re welcome to use the tennis court, and the lovely garden space with far-reaching views is the best place for a barbecue.
You can walk bridle paths or drive to the coast for wonderful beaches and salt marshes. The Georgian town of Holt and the market town of Fakenham are both seven miles equidistant; Binham Priory is two miles away and Walsingham Abbey five miles. Wells-next-the-Sea is a pretty harbour town with a nature reserve and a stunning beach.
