This red-bricked building with its own garden sits next to the Elizabethan farmhouse and is of typical Norfolk design. It's a riot of oak beams with latch doors, a large Inglenook fireplace and the original old tree handrail. Relax in the sitting room with its gentle colours, wooden floors, exposed brick walls, antiques, a warming wood-burner (lit for your arrival on chilly days) and striped blinds; sink into squashy sofas with checked throws.
Cooks will enjoy the long kitchen with stone flagging, a charming dresser and a farmhouse wooden table; a welcome hamper of fresh (double yoke) eggs from the village, bread, milk, a wedge of Brie, wine and crisps will be waiting alongside all the basics for cooking. Upstairs to a light and airy double with its own shower room, a vaulted ceiling and garden views; the twin is equally lovely.
You can wander to the village in a few minutes and there are three good dog walks from the door.
