Lemmington Lodge - Self-catering house in Northumberland
Lemmington, Alnwick, NE66 2BD, Northumberland
England,
Reino Unido
No wonder Geordies are generally happy – they’ve got this lot on their doorstep: unbroken views of green fields, sheep and clumps of woodland, open skies, the Cheviots, white and long sandy beaches, frothy green sea, mysterious old castles. Your timber-framed space with cedar cladding is light and airy with a gigantic picture window in the open-plan sitting room; sit warmly and safely by the wood-burning stove in winter and the moody weather will put on a show.
This is a great place for a group of friends - the kitchen is sociable and you'll find wine, fruit, cakes, a local newspaper and fresh flowers waiting for you as well as some basics. Bedrooms are large and light and all have their own doors to a decked area of the garden.
Spill outside on sunny days, set up the barbecue in the evening and become part of the view.

Puntos de interés sobre la región de
Lydia Achard:
- Northumberland offers wild coastline, a string of sandy beaches, historic castles and forts, secret surf spots, chocolate box cottages and quaint harbour towns combined with dynamic mountain range scenery that will take your breath away.
- Head to the picturesque seaside village of Alnmouth to discover bijou galleries hidden down cobbled streets. Don’t miss the renowned Art Festival in the summer which showcases over 70 artists, live music, street food and children’s workshops.
- Enjoy a boat trip to the Farne Islands, one of the best spots to see a wide range of sea birds in the British Isles. It's the biggest Grey Seal sanctuary in England and one can find Puffins more plentiful here in season than almost anywhere else in the UK.
- Saddle up and enjoy country hacks near the banks of the nearby River Till to galloping in the heather on the moors overlooking the Cheviot Hills and cantering along the white beaches of Holy Island with one of the friendly local riding schools.
- Northumberland has more castles than any other county in England. Many of these castles, including Warkworth, Dunstanburgh, Bamburgh and Lindisfarne, stand guard along our dramatic coast.
- With more than 30 miles of beaches, a galapagos of islands, hidden coves and designated areas of outstanding natural beauty. Head over to Beadnell beach, a hub of activity where you can enjoy windsurfing, waterskiing, coasteering, canoeing and sailing.
