The Pheasant Apartment - Self-catering in Shropshire
Neenton, Bridgnorth, WV16 6RJ, Shropshire
England,
Reino Unido
On Neenton's doorstep lie 600 miles of byways and bridleways – hiker heaven. (Dogs like it too.) Three miles away are views that stretch from the Cotswolds to Snowdonia, so set off for Brown Clee Hill and blow the cobwebs away. It's the perfect prelude to dinner.
Stock up with Shropshire grown and reared goodies from The Ludlow Farm Shop or head off for the day to Ironbridge Gorge. With its wooded hillsides and industrial legacy, it's one of the most dramatic historic sites in England. Then back to your cosy, carpeted hideaway on the upper floor, reached via outside stairs and well away from the hubbub below. There are two bedrooms under the eaves, and open-plan living below, with a galley kitchen tailor-made for foodies.
Downstairs is the beamed bar: a wood-burner for wet and windy days, and food, wines and local ales to bring cheer. Find a table, or take a pint to your pad and make yourselves at home.
