Three very special places to stay on one glorious estate. Gather those whose company you enjoy and immerse yourselves in beauty and history

You stay in a 16th-century turreted Gatehouse, the bright and beamed Coach House, or the newly-renovated Moat House (up to 18 adults plus children if you take all). There's plenty of space for entertaining, eating together indoors or out and blessed peace for escapees - this is the perfect spot for an inter-generational gathering. For rainy days there are wood-burners, flat screen TVs, board games and books. Otherwise you'll be spilling out into box-filled borders, level lawns and well-tended beds - barbecues can be arranged.

Convivial meals can be had in the Dragon Hall, a fine dining event or chillout space with a private drawing room and professional kitchen. If you don't want to cook the house chef can be conjured up, leaving you to sip something delicious from the mirrored honesty bar in front of the Tudor fireplace and admire the Adam Dant murals. History lovers can take an audio tour of the whole estate, walkers can wander woodland paths to a tiny Norman church.

The whole shebang will be grand and memorable.

Puntos de interés sobre la región de
Laura Cash:

  • Holiday in history in an award winning Elizabethan private historic estate where previous guests have included Edward V, Prince Rupert, two prime misters, Elizabeth Hurley and Shane Warne. The Prince in the Tower stayed on route to the Tower in 1383.
  • The estate is perfectly located for walking holidays less than a mile from the Jack Mytton Way and close to the Shropshire Way, and the Abbesses' Way from St Michael's church in our grounds to Much Wenlock Priory, one of England's greatest ruined abbeys
  • We are just three miles from the award winning historic market town of Bridgnorth with its famous Friday and Saturday markets, ruined royal castle, and Severn Valley steam railway that chugs along the River Severn with a vintage first class dining carriage
  • Guests you can roam around the Hall's extensive gardens and woods including a Norman church, medieval village, woodland trail, topiary garden and private BBQ areas in all the rental properties.
  • Groups can enjoy the facilities of The Dragon Hall where you can hire a private chef to cater for a special dinner and relax as a group to watch SKY sports or movies in the Drawing Room area with bar. The Dragon Hall is decorated like a medieval palazzo.
  • We have been the location of period films and the subject of William Cash's acclaimed memoir, Restoration Heart about restoring his old family home, For architecture buffs we have three Grade 1 listed buildings, Roman site and a Norman church in the garden
