You have independence from the main house, and you can come and go from this snug self-contained space that's been created out of an old stable. Choose a picnic spot in the garden or orchard, arrange to barbecue your supper, head off on walks down the footpath from the end of the garden.
It's a household of foodies and breakfast, delivered on a tray, includes fresh orange juice and local sausage and bacon sandwiches, or pastries, Bircher muesli and berries from the garden. On Fridays and Saturdays in the winter you can join Tom and Sara for dinner - or have it in your room; in summer it's often served outside.
French doors open to a patio with outdoor seating and pretty views over flowers and veg patch. Wander out to sit by the warming firepit and gaze up at the stars before tucking in for the night.

- We are on the edge of The North York Moors National park, 40 minutes from the city of York and 30 minutes from the Yorkshire Coast.
- Lots of lovely market towns, Malton, is considered the Food Capital of the North, Helmsley with lovely shops and cafes and Pickering all within 5-20 minutes drive.
- If you love your food we are 15 minutes from the The Star at Harome and half an hour from The Black Swan at Oldstead.
