An attractive kitchen and dining room with a rustic terracotta tiled floor, exposed sandstone walls and all the equipment you need to cook. You also get a welcome bottle of wine produced by a neighbour and a basket of local treats. Open the full height folding doors and eat outside at a large table with stunning views over the countryside.
If you're staying as part of a group who are in the château then you have use of the swimming pool, but if not there's beautiful wild swimming in Lac de Gurson just a ten-minute cycle away or in the river Dordogne at several spots. Wander the gardens to pick your own fruit and asparagus in season, or walk through vineyards to St-Martin-de-Gurson.
Up the stairs to a good-sized bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and room for extra bods. Views from here are over vineyards, fields of sunflowers and the ruins of Château de Gurson. Watch the sun rise over the valley.

Minimum stay: 5 nights. 7 nights during July & August. Can also be rented alongside the main château (5 bedrooms) and/or La Maison du Gardien gite (1 bedroom). Sofa bed downstairs in living room. Extra beds are available at no charge.
