Vineyards surround the Duhamels’ restored 15th-century Girondine home and Bruno is keen to show you around and share his passion for their organically produced Côtes de Bourg wines. He's also in charge of breakfasts - honey, fresh orange juice, homemade brioche and jams – served indoors or on the terrace, with uninterrupted views. Dinner, with terroir wine of course, can be arranged; perhaps after visiting Bordeaux, 30 minutes south. Bedrooms are spotless and spacious – no frills, no surprises! – with gleaming new floors and windows, and modern bathrooms. It’s peaceful here, with lovely walks through the vines.
