Handsome and enticing, this 18th-century manor house is perched on a hillside with views of silken wheat fields and distant valleys. But feast your eyes on the star of the show: an all-bells-and-whistles pool. Inside: an air of decadent splendour – even a knight in armour – where all is tasteful, relaxed and spacious in sitting, dining and bedrooms – just watch out for some low beams (and ask for an extra single if you need one). There's lovely artisan bread and homemade jams for breakfast, scrumptious dinners from generous owners and acres of parkland to mosey around – home to a huge and friendly black pig.
