This old winemaker's house has been deliciously revived: the facade restored to its former glory while the inside has been opened up to allow natural light to rush in. The feel is contemporary but cosy: clever lighting, good use of materials, no TVs in the bedrooms. You'll feel very relaxed stretching out in your room or the guest lounge overlooking the pretty walled garden.
Breakfast is a treat, you eat on the veranda (or in the garden on hot days); choose continental style or English. Simple, delicious lunches and suppers can be booked, or a chef can be arranged for something a bit more special. Help yourself at the honesty bar, or choose wine from the extensive list and chat to other guests or read in front of the fire. Dip in the pool, book a session in the sauna.
You're in the centre of picturesque Pommard and it's only ten minutes to lively Beaune. Owner Isabelle and manager Anda are charming and happy to advise.
