Fanny and Axel's house was originally built as a restaurant for workers building a railway line nearby and gradually transformed into the grand building it is today, with a beautiful façade featuring tall windows and balconies with wrought-iron railings.
Inside, the house retains many original features. Two of the bedrooms overlook the street (there's double glazing) and the other the garden. Breakfast is served in the dining room or at a large table on the terrace that catches the morning sun; Fanny is a talented cook and creates delicious meals depending on her mood and what's good in her vegetable garden or the market.
The Lot Valley is known for its unspoiled countryside, vineyards and medieval villages. Work up an appetite exploring then return to relax in the secluded garden or next to the fireplace in the sitting room, where you can browse through hundreds of books on cooking and photography, before a delicious dinner.
