Ressons is home to a warm, dynamic, intelligent couple who, after a hard day's work running this big farm (Jean-Paul) or being an architect (Valérie) and tending three children, will ply you in apparently leisurely fashion with champagne, excellent dinner and conversation; they also hunt. The deeply carved Henri III furniture is an admirable family heirloom; bedrooms (two en suite) are colour-coordinated, views roll for miles and sharing facilities seems easy. A house of comfort and relaxed good manners (smoking is in the study only), whose decoration and accessories reflect the owners' travels.
