Mas des Chineurs - Self-catering house in Vaucluse
Mas des Chineurs
Avenue Jean Charmasson, 84800 L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Vaucluse
Provence - Alps - Riviera,
Francia
A unique position for this 1850s house, once part of a convent on the edge of the busy town and with one of the side canals of the famous Isle-sur-la-Sorgue floating past the garden, along with ducks. The ground floor is open plan with traditional Provençal ceilings and beams and screened from the hot sun so you'll feel comfortably cool. French doors open to a shaded patio and a spacious outdoor dining area with barbecue for long summer suppers.
Bedrooms, one on the ground floor, are lofty and attractive with reclaimed doors for headboards and lots of colourful, original art. Each has an en suite bathroom with thoughtful spaces to put down all your stuff. The bright kitchen overlooks the garden and is plenty big enough for everyone to join in. You'll find basics in the cupboard and a bottle of rosé.
A five-minute walk will take you to a bakery for your morning croissants, there are bikes to borrow and your canoe awaits. Fun!
