Olive groves, vines and orchards surround this tranquil agriturismo in the Morainic Hills. Lorenzo and Giovanna have transformed her family's old mill into a lovely retreat for foodies, cyclists and walkers. Charming apartments and B&B rooms are divided between the main house, built in the 1950s, and a single-storey barn conversion. All have exposed beams, stone floors and colourful bedspreads, while Lorenzo's expressive paintings brighten the walls.
En-suite bathrooms are spacious and modern, with fluffy towels and walk-in showers. Every room opens on to an outdoor seating area perfect for sipping an aperitif as the sun sets. A generous breakfast buffet including fruit, bread and homemade cakes, is served at glass tables in the large restaurant or under the shade of the pergola. Dinners are creative and delicious.
Outside, there's a pool and acres of grounds. Hike through the Parco del Mincio, visit Lake Garda or pop to Verona.
