This 18th century house is off the beaten track with outstanding Lake Como views from so many angles. There's complete silence with only chatting walkers passing on the Greenway path, and the communal garden is a peaceful retreat of olive trees, roses - and salad vegetables that you're welcome to harvest.

There are three villas in one here, and you can take them all for a special extended family get-together. Marta is the biggest, spread over four floors and sleeping eight it's elegant and airy from top to toe; find vintage features, cool bedrooms, handmade oak units in the kitchen and a proper big cooker set in the old stone fireplace. Spill onto private terraces, dip in your plunge pool, watch the sun setting over the lake - aperitivo in hand.

Catch the ferry to Como from Lenno, explore the city, glide up the funicular for stunning views. Wet day entertainment in the basement comes with a full size pool table and a media room.

Take a leisurely 10 minute stroll along the Greenway del Lago to the ferry stop at Lenno. Spend a day on the lake enjoying the scenery and all the beautiful lakeside villas.
Visit quaint villages along the lake - the Greenway del Lago is a 10km walking path which passes right in front of Villa Beatrice.
Swim in the lake at the various Lidos near Villa Beatrice - you will find them at Lenno, Sala Comacina and Ossuccio
Spend a day at Villa Carlotta which is stunning 17th Century villa. Stroll around the amazing gardens and be inspired by their beauty.
Visit Como itself - you will find fabulous restaurants and shops galore. Take the ferry from Lenno or it is a 40 minute scenic drive along the lake road.
Visit the UNESCo world heritage site of The Sacred Mount of Ossuccio - the walk takes in 15 historic chapels and is stone's throw from Villa Beatrice
