Down a narrow country road just 4km from Modica, you'll find the farm. An L-shaped, one storey building has four bedrooms in a row plus the breakfast room. The cosy beamed sitting room with games has a fireplace, a long table and a lounge area. It's big enough for table football and a couple of vintage motorbikes in the corner. Each room has its own outside space with wicker chairs so you can sit quietly surrounded by vines, oleander and palm trees.
A farm fresh Sicilian breakfast is served in the breakfast room, or you can fill your plate and take it outside. Fresh ricotta, local pecorino and canestrato, eggs from the owners' hens and freshly baked bread, homemade jams and seasonal fruits will set you up for a long walk, then a dip in the shared pool. Francesco is a generous host and greets you with a refreshing drink or glass of wine.
You're 9km from the sea and halfway between the historic cities of Modica and Scicli.
