Danielle gives you delicious breakfasts, served under the pergola in summer or in the cosy kitchen when it's cooler: homemade cakes and biscuits, freshly-baked bread, jams made with fruit from their garden. Evening meals are equally toothsome: wild boar and porcini dishes in autumn, homemade pastas, plenty of salads, veg and fruit picked from the garden in season. At aperitivo hour enjoy an Aperol or Negroni with local salamis and cheeses, by the pool with Tony, Danielle and other guests.
Each bedroom (two on the ground floor and a bigger one on the first) is cosy with rich fabrics, plump pillows and cushions on the beds and each has its own small outdoor space with a table and chairs. Luxury soaps, thick towels and robes and pretty gilt mirrors complete the picture.
It's quiet here and the feel is quite remote. There are lovely walks from the house, including to San Lorenzo with its medieval watchtowers.
