This Grade II-listed cottage is tucked away in a tiny hamlet overlooking the Amber Valley, with plenty of wildlife in the fields around – birdwatchers will be in paradise – and the most incredible night skies.
Amanda and Martin live in the main farmhouse and welcome you with some thoughtful goodies – a homemade Victoria sponge cake, chocolates, a bottle of fizz on ice, fresh eggs from the chickens, local sourdough bread and butter.
You’ll be happy here rain or shine, with plenty of books and magazines; in fine weather you can eat outside or soak in the hot tub while you gaze down at field, hill and dale. Children and dogs have a field to romp around, there are pubs and shops a few minutes away, and plenty of historic houses are within a half hour drive.
