Coach & Horses - Inn in Lancashire
Main Street, Bolton by Bowland, BB7 4NW, Lancashire
England,
Reino Unido
A 1700s coaching inn rescued from many years of neglect by the present owners. Downstairs find stripped wooden floors or original flagstones, roaring fires on chilly days and a glass wall to the brewery area. Lots of comfy wingback chairs encourage loafing while you decide what to eat: farm to fork local wherever possible, homemade puddings, family Sunday lunch. Try a pint of 'Goldie' from their own Four Mice brewery, or a very reasonable wine list by the glass.
Upstairs are extremely comfortable bedrooms, all different in style but with homemade goodies, coffee machines, Molton Brown lotions and smart bathrooms. Breakfast options include eggs Benedict, sausages from Pughes Piglets, homemade granola and some home-baked breads.
A big seating area out the back means on sunny evenings you can spill out here with something delicious and non-alchoholic if you prefer.
