The Moat House - Self-catering cottage in Norfolk
Hindringham Hall, , NR21 OQA, Norfolk
England,
Reino Unido
This enchanting hideaway overlooks the ancient moat of Hindringham Hall and has a secluded garden where you can relax in the sun, read or just watch the wildlife – grebes, moorhens, geese and two resident black swans.
Downstairs is open plan, with French windows opening to the garden; upstairs is the bedroom with stacks of books and spectacular views. A tray of tea, coffee, milk and sugar is left out as a welcome, along with pretty china and freshly cut flowers from the garden.
The friendly owners know all there is to know about North Norfolk: the safe sandy beaches, the world-class golf, the stately homes, the shops and restaurants of Blakeney, Holt and Wells-next-the-Sea. You’re welcome to roam the garden here on days when it is open to the public and there are tours of the house occasionally during the year. You can use the tennis court too.
