East Quay Pod 1 - Object Exchange - Self-catering apartment in Somerset
Accommodation at East Quay
East Quay, Watchet, TA23 0AQ, Somerset
England,
Reino Unido
Watchet was a sleepy harbour town, now its making a name for itself as the hub of an inspiring social enterprise - East Quay - which sits right on the harbour with the West Somerset Railway line running directly behind it. Object Exchange does exactly what it says on the tin: each piece has a label attached describing the significance to the previous owner and you're encouraged to take one and replace it with your own story.
It's a fun, colourful, imaginative space, the bedroom is on a mezzanine level with organic cotton sheets and its own private balcony for stunning sunsets looking over the harbour and out to sea. A basic kitchen is fine for rustling up something simple but the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and supper with homemade cakes at tea time and everything locally sourced.
Join in with events on site, stride the Quantock Hills or through the Exmoor National Park, sit on the harbour in the evening with a pint.
This place is one of our Sawday’s Community Champions – not-for-profit organisations receiving subsidised Sawday’s membership as recognition for their support of causes and communities.
