The Longhouse - Self-catering house in Gwynedd
Mountain Cottage, Llithfaen, LL53 6PB, Gwynedd
Wales,
Reino Unido
There's plenty of room here for families to spread out so even if the weather isn't behaving you won't feel cramped. A wide hall with a slate floor leads to a good sized sitting room with two big sofas and a wood-burner. There are plenty of logs to keep you cosy plus TV, DVD and sound system. The oak kitchen is generous with a big wooden table for convivial meals and a Rayburn to warm you all year round.
Step through French doors to a big garden with a lawn and a table for al fresco summer meals. Wander down through fields to the river Erch for a spot of fishing for brown trout - permits are available locally - or just sit peacefully on the banks with a glass of wine.
You're on the edge of the Lleyn peninsula for fabulous coastal walks with stunning views and seal spotting, hire bikes and enjoy the quiet roads or head off for gruelling mountain cycling. The coast is a short hop for long days of proper seaside picnics and watery fun.
