Breakfast is for foodies and history-lovers: a bountiful buffet of homemade treats at a huge table in a magnificent room. Explore the ponds; take drinks to the island; meet ducks, hens, donkeys, and Titi the cat. Set off for glorious Mont St Michel, one of France's wonders - only 20 minutes. 50 minutes away is St Malo, its old town destroyed in the war but since reconstructed. Stroll the ramparts for incredible sea views.
Return to books, games, billiards, grand piano...and perhaps a late afternoon swim. Relax in gorgeous bedrooms spread across three floors. The final pleasure? Table d’hôte with fellow guests in the former farmhouse, cooked and hosted by Erika, or a more intimate meal in the Grand Salon.
