Lots to enjoy at this friendly Georgian harbourside house... bright bedrooms, expansive breakfasts, the ever-fascinating maritime views

What a position – in the heart of Old Weymouth. Perch in the bow-fronted window and gaze down on the bustle of the harbour with its colourful boats and the fishermen coming in with their catch. As for the house, built in 1805, it is uniquely 12-feet wide so although bijou, it is full of arty surprises inside.

Peter and Anna are polished hosts. They’re on hand to help and give you homemade cake with a cuppa when you get there, and serve outstanding breakfasts on lovely china: homemade breads and jams, creamed mushrooms on puff pastry, smoked haddock and kippers from the Bridport Smokery.

Wander along the medieval lanes, head for the sandy beach, book a boat trip, try one of the many seafood restaurants... Then it’s back home to a very comfortable bed.

"What an amazing place to stay - fall out of the door onto the quayside at the harbour, a veritable hive of activity! Host Peter is hugely knowledgeable and most welcoming - breakfasts are to die for - a delicious choice for appetites large and small... The house is full of character as is the town which is fun to explore. There's a myriad of walks and boat trips to be done and if you can be bothered to get back into your car then plenty of places of interest to visit round and about. Dix sur dix!! "

"Anna and Peter are fantastic hosts. They're awfully welcoming, make you feel really at home. Their place is beautifully done up, in a great location as well. They've got a lot going for them. Anna is a fabulous baker and treats us to cakes for our daily trips. Need I say more? Breakfast is Peter's affair, and it's delightful. He provides a lot of insight into the area, and plays a major part in one's stay in the area. I rate it very highly indeed."

"Indulge yourselves and visit Old Harbour View. You will leave feeling relaxed, spoilt and as if you have made two new friends, three including Willow the wiggly spaniel :). Anna and Peter are such a lovely couple - food is superb - breakfast and cakes! Rooms are spotless, views are amazing, their knowledge of where to visit and places to eat, were spot on. Would definitely make a return visit."
