Sociable souls will be happy here with table d'hôte dinners (off season) and twice weekly barbecue soirées in the summer where all the guests mingle and chat. Breakfast is served in a big salon with a fireplace for chillier days: apple juice from the orchard, jams from nearby Quiberon, charcuterie, locally-baked breads and patisserie, homemade lemon cake and English scones. On rainy days you can play board games, table tennis or piano, choose a book from the library, laze in the pool and sauna.
The house is surrounded by 6 hectares of fields and forest for cycling (there are bikes to borrow) or lovely walks - the only sound will be the odd tractor and a lot of birdsong. The brave can canoe in the moat or bring a rod and try for carp. A boules pit is fun in the cool of the evening with a sundowner.
Large, west-facing bedrooms on the first floor have views over an orchard, sturdy beds with good linen and magic-mirror TVs.
