Come to immerse yourself in a building with remarkable features: a striking skylight at the top of the stairs, the painted ceilings, woodwork and stucco, the old glass doors with the initials of past owners and reproductions of original wallpaper designs.
Bedrooms are all different: some overlooking the garden, some with little balconies, but all are a good size, are very comfortable with armchairs and space to work and have their own character with eclectic colours and modern furniture. If you prefer to look after yourselves there's a loft apartment with a kitchen. The cafe is open all day: breakfast on local meats and cheeses, fresh pastries and bread, cooked eggs and pancakes if you want. You're free to hang about all day on the terrace, or indoors, or in the garden.
Wander to the river Douro for an evening stroll when it's too hot, or visit the Garden of Cordoaria where you'll find many restaurants and outdoor cafes.
