Expect a dream symphony of creams, taupes and warm hues, stone floors and polished parquet. Over 100 contemporary photographs enliven the interior spaces and suave leather sofas and chestnut and walnut pieces represent the best of modern design. Bedrooms, two with balconies, all with garden views, are serene and the new garden suites are the swishest of all: high ceilings, black slate, open-plan layouts, and sliding doors to the gardens. Hire a tandem from the hotel, head off for a Parque Natural (there are two nearby), laze under a posh parasol, return to a delicious and imaginative meal. Carrejo is small but you can walk into Cabezon de la Sal. The staff are friendly and Alfonso is an attentive host.
