The Count House at Okel Tor Mine - Self-catering in Cornwall
Calstock, PL18 9SQ, Cornwall
England,
Royaume-Uni
It's a light and airy open-plan space with a table in the window for those glorious views, a comfy sofa and lots of games and books in case the weather turns. Pale colour schemes are restful, the kitchen has all you need to cook for two and you'll find basics in the cupboards, locally-sourced snacks or biscuits and plenty of kindling and logs for the wood-burner. It couldn't be cosier.
Off here is a small bedroom with a big bed, lovely white cotton sheets, plump pillows and duvet; a little shower room is just the ticket after a day spent walking or shopping. Outside is gorgeous with a decked area, table and chairs, those wide views and plenty of birdlife in the mature oak and beech trees - don't forget to bring binoculars. There's a shared barbecue for long light summer evenings feeling quite private.
There are magical footpaths from the door, through woods, to the river and back, or head to pretty Calstock for a pub lunch.
