Upper Court - Bed & Breakfast in Gloucestershire
Kemerton, GL20 7HY, Gloucestershire
England,
Royaume-Uni
Drive through a picturesque village of thatched cottages to arrive at this impressive manor built in 1760. It's rammed with character, antique furniture, beautiful rugs and pictures, but there's not an ounce of pretension – you can just join in the general bustle. It's a rambling property with a huge hallway sporting a piano and with pottery for sale. Take afternoon tea in the sitting room overlooking the lake; book a slot for a swim, hot tub or sauna.
Bedrooms are well spaced out and decorated individually but all are large and light (two with super views over the lake with swans and ducks) and have designer fabrics, four-poster beds and en suite bathrooms. Breakfast is self-serve continental or the full works with home-baked sourdough.
It's a grand spot for groups and small weddings so take all the cottages too and gather for art and pottery courses.
