The building is listed and Regency and your host, enthusiastic, charming, knows the history. As for breakfast, it is fresh, lavish and locally sourced; a full Norfolk, or kippers, scrambled eggs, avocado, cheese and croissants in the dining room.
The bedroom is full of character with flamboyant wallpaper, a very comfortable bed, tea and coffee to make for yourselves and views through the beautifully-shaped window. There's a decent pub just along the road and you're within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the cathedral with the second tallest spire in England.
Walk to a cinema or theatre, admire Georgian and even older architecture.
