Go deep into countryside with family or friends, along an avenue of sweet chestnut trees to this imposing house with beautiful formal gardens on a 470-acre estate. It's a treat to stay here with a huge choice of rooms to spread out in: a morning room with a bay window and warming fire, a drawing room with floor-to-ceiling sash windows, the formal dining room, an upstairs conservatory room and a basement cinema room with a bar.
The kitchen has been designed with imagination and has every bell and whistle for large group catering, and you'll find a generous welcome hamper including a bottle of gin from Wrekin Spirit, but if you'd rather relax you can hire a local chef. Bedrooms are large and swish with cashmere mattresses and fine linen – all with their own bathrooms and splendid views.
Outdoor meals on the terrace will be sublime, with sunset views of Wrekin Hill and a hot tub for dreamers.
