Some say there's more beauty in a mile on the west coast than in the rest of the world put together - vast skies, soaring mountains, shimmering water, barely a soul in sight. Pauline and Seori left London to give their family the freedom to roam. Now they have a colourful cast of companions: sheep, hens, ducks, rabbits - all live here. In the adjoining byre: country simplicity, a Norwegian wood-burner, colour, texture and style.
Sea eagles patrol the skies, porpoises bask in the loch (you can too), red deer come to the garden. This, coupled with Seori's home cooking, makes it very hard to leave. Start your day with porridge or muesli with seasonal fruit, a Full Scottish with locally-smoked bacon, butcher's sausages, eggs from their ducks if you want. Set off on long walks through magical woodlands, or climb high for stunning views over Little Loch Broom.
Supper is a relaxed affair in the kitchen with home cooked, seasonal food.
