Unusually the host doesn't live in the house but is there to give you a belter of a breakfast in the morning: freshly baked bread, unsmoked back bacon, local pork sausages, hog’s pudding and eggs any way you like, or smoked salmon, avocado and French toast with delicious Cornish butter.
Bedrooms (one up in the eaves) all have superb mattresses, White Company towels, views over the garden and the means to make a cup of tea in the morning with proper milk. They are all a good size but there's also a snug with a wood-burner for a quiet read about the area with a drink from the honesty bar, and a formal walled garden with space to sit and gaze at views while listening to birdsong.
There are 13 acres of nature reserve on the farm which you are welcome to roam and you're just outside the village of Cusgarne which has a farm shop with a café.
