Enter the grand, honeyed stone house through a cobbled courtyard, discover a happy blend of pretty antiques and bright modern touches, and fresh flowers by Andreu's mother. One suite is tucked amid the oranges; rooms in the main house are spacious, unfussy, with white-dressed beds and colourful sofas. Most have a terrace; this is a place for outdoor living. Walk among wild flowers in the Tramuntana foothills or take a tram to the port for the north coast's coves and beaches. Soller's Art Nouveau architecture and botanic gardens are worth a stroll; Palma is 20 minutes by train. Return to a warm welcome by the family, supper under the stars, and a deep country sleep.
