Villa D’Este - Self-catering house in Menorca
7001 Mahón, Menorca
Balearic Islands,
Espagne
Amazing views encompass the comings and goings of the ancient natural harbour of historic Mahón, and the bay of Cala Rata. There's plenty of well-designed, grown-up space here, both in and outdoors, and over three floors: comfy loungers, sliding glass doors, an inviting mix of traditional and modern (and don't fight over the hammock). You have your own pool, bar and BBQ...and if all this sounds inviting, there's a great welcome hamper too.
For shops, restaurants and architectural gems, take the water taxi into Mahón. Or set off into the hinterland, scattered with dairy farms, to taste and buy Menorcan cheese, and the delights of Pan y Vino, a treat of a restaurant in little Torret.
Return to exotic plants and Menorcan throws, a pool terrace with a pergola, and serene bedrooms with sea views. One is in the garden, another has its own terrace. All this 20 minutes' drive from the airport, in one of the most charmed spots in the Balearics.
