A moonshine-themed wooden cabin, just two miles from the coast in a romantic spot for couples, with a hot tub facing a pretty orchard

Wrap yourselves in woollen blankets, choose a rocking chair, ease into the hot tub, enjoy dark skies listening out for tawny owls and feel entirely at one with nature. If you get chilly then step inside to a roaring fire, warming rugs, books to choose and a comfy sofa - there's a Smart TV so you can watch what you like and a generous hamper of local food and drink to keep you going on your first night.

The open-plan kitchen is ideal for cooking together and well stocked, but if you're feeling idle you can ask ahead for a home chef. Spend happy days unwinding here, bring binoculars for birdwatching, admire the wildflower meadow in spring and summer or wander down to the pond in search of elusive otters. Your big bed in the wood-panelled bedroom is well dressed and there are green garden views.

You can walk to Bude in an hour or so for wild waves, paddle boarding and swimming. Return to much comfort and a proper big bath.

Bude is large enough to provide a good range of facilities with a choice of accommodation, shops, restaurants and activity providers, yet it retains its Cornish charm. The town is quiet and relaxed, with a cool laid-back vibe.
The famous Bude sea pool a semi-natural sea pool where people can swim safely, looking over Summerleaze Beach, is brilliant for year-round cold-water enthusiasts, really cold!
Bude Artisan Market runs every Friday, 10am – 3pm from Good Friday until the end of September, showcasing lots of friendly wonderful local producers and makers. Expect to find pastries, cheeses, coffee, cake, jams and chutneys.
A short drive away from Bude are the beautiful towns of Boscastle and Tintagel, full of history and tales of the past and both interesting shops and places to eat, or visit the lovely, cobbled village of Clovelly for a steep old walk.
2023 is Bude's 34th Jazz Fest. Running from the 29th of August to 1st September. The music on offer ranges from blues and ragtime to mainstream and bop with an especially rich choice of old-style New Orleans and classic jazz.
Bude canal is very pretty, awash with bobbing ducks, a great spot for a picnic. You can hire SUP boards and pedalos for a play on the water.
