Couples with or without children will be comfortable here – cosy with a wood-burner in winter, outside in the colourful garden on sunny days. Thoughtful owners have provided everything you’ll need – the kitchen is impressive, with espresso machine, and you get slippers and robes, towels and superb bed linen.
Bridle paths criss-cross the surrounding countryside and there is wonderful walking on Dartmoor or the South Hams - both AONB's. Helpful local property manager Nicki is on the end of the phone if you need anything.
This is a foodie area and there are plenty of up-to-date recommendations - from the village pubs to trendy Totnes restaurants. For a family day on the beach, or a host of water sports, it’s a forty-minute drive to Bantham or Blackpool Sands on the south Devon coast.
