Hues are neutral and designed to appeal to all (whites, greys, wood, linen) but there's a warm, honey glow of Cotswold stone within the colour scheme which links the interiors to their setting. On warm days you can open glazed doors on either side of the building to let the curtains billow and enjoy the flow of fresh air; keep them closed with the sun pouring in and you'll feel cocooned.
Find books, magazines, two retro game sets and a telly with Netflix for long, lazy afternoons, or cook in the small but well thought-out kitchen. A breakfast hamper is waiting including farm shop eggs, locally baked sourdough and a jar of Melanie's mum's marmalade. A small patio with bistro furniture faces west and you're welcome to explore the formal gardens beyond.
A 15-minute walk will take you to The Green Dragon, a good pub with real ales from local breweries and which also has a farm shop.
