The Riverside Inn - Inn in Herefordshire
The Riverside Inn, Aymestrey, HR6 9ST, Herefordshire
England,
Regno Unito
The feel is still very much of a pub, with hop-laden beams, scrubbed farmhouse tables, cushioned pew benches, roaring log fires and cosy nooks. The dining room is in a timbered barn, a great spot for a relaxing Sunday lunch. Food is taken seriously here and chef Andy is passionate about sustainability, ethical sourcing and food miles. His imaginative menus evolve with the seasons and are built around what is ready to be picked from his verdant kitchen garden and the best produce he can procure from local producers.
Comfortable, well-equipped bedrooms are split between the inn, converted stables and three very posh cabins on the terrace. All have Noble Isle soaps and lotions, bath robes, ground coffee with fresh milk and homemade biscuits.
On summer evenings you can dine right beside the river, bag a table on the terraced garden, or find a peaceful spot with a pint in the kitchen garden, identifying fruit and vegetables – over 50!
