Come and be cosseted in this quintessentially English thatched cottage with two friendly terriers and lovely Sheila who cooks a breakfast which will set you up for anything: homemade granola, home baked bread, local sausages, bacon and tomatoes and multi coloured eggs from the free-range hens you can say hello to outside. Admire the garden with its topiary, box parterres, herbaceous borders and vegetables while you decide what to do with your day.
Wander into the village in 10 minutes for a well-stocked village shop and a tea room, walk 25 minutes to the Sun Inn at Hulverstone for a good supper – Sheila offers a lift there if you'd rather not walk and you can get a taxi back. There is a bus stop nearby with buses to Newport on the hour until 5pm. On fine days you're welcome to sit in the garden listening to many birds or otherwise by the open fire in the sitting room.
Sleep in a cosy bedroom with a crisply-dressed bed. For extra guests in the same group there's a twin room sharing the bathroom.
