Sophie and Charles’ Georgian farmhouse is at the top of one of Lincolnshire's rare hills with far-reaching views over to Belvoir Castle and Newark. Sophie's great grandfather was involved in the creation of the RAF and a life-size replica of a Lancaster Bomber is going to be sited on the hilltop - guests will be offered a personal tour.
Flower-filled drawing and dining rooms overlook the valley. Breakfast is an event - cereals, fruit salad and yogurts followed by Lincolnshire sausages, home bacon, eggs and marmalade, field mushrooms and locally baked bread. On sunny days eat under the old oak tree - one set of guests were entertained by a visiting family of Little Owls.
Sit in the garden, walk to the lake and woodland beyond; then sleep well in large bedrooms made inviting with gowns, slippers, biscuits and drinks.
