Lots of creativity and quirk at this cabin near the Cotswolds - like a funky New York loft, filled with light and interesting art

Peter's 35 acres of land are full of quirky, rustic charm from the untamed wildflower meadows to the rough and ready tennis court next door to Big Box, which all guests are welcome to use. You’ll also find a clutch of farm buildings and barns, which include Peter's studio (which he still uses now), their red brick farmhouse and two other places to stay nearby, so it's likely you'll see and hear other people wandering about during your stay, and you may even have a visit from one of the resident dogs.

It's a very relaxed and fuss-free place. You have your own little garden area next to the main lane, where you'll also hear passing trains - sometimes powered by steam. Out here there's a barbecue and firepit for al fresco suppers on summer evenings. Cotswold Water Park is just up the road for sailing, swimming or canoeing.

Inside find polished concrete floors, Indian murals and natural wood - a blend of the owners' unique style.

  • Malmesbury is a lovely town located on the Wiltshire cycleway. Features a lovely abbey as well as lots of independent shops and cafes. Would particularly recommend the Summer Café or The Birdcage.
  • Oaksey, a quaint Cotswold village is a pretty Cotswold village in Wiltshire, very close to the Gloucestershire boarder. It is thought that there has been a settlement here since 4500 BCE but the earliest evidence are the Bronze age Round Barrows.
  • Cirencester Park - Great place for a walk with the main path gently ascending with views back to the church. Dogs are only allowed in certain places though.
  • Cotswold Water Park is the UK’s largest marl lake system. Covering an area of 40 square miles, it boasts more than 150 lakes set across Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, and West Oxfordshire.
  • Sapperton Canal Tunnel - Once the longest tunnel in the country, Sapperton Canal Tunnel takes the Severn and Thames canal underground for 2-miles (3 km). By the entrance is Tunnel House, a pub established in the 1780s for the labourers working on the tunne
